There are off days where you’ll hit the gym or head outside for a run and your body just doesn’t want to go. Like every step is hard and thoughts in your head are almost all negative. And that’s okay. Those days are tough but also pretty common. There isn’t really much you can do to make them disappear; they’ll be there. The good news, however, is that you can use some positive affirmations and quotes to remember that it’s perfectly normal to have off days.

“So far you’ve survived 100% of your worst days. You’re doing great.”

No matter what you get done, something is always better than nothing. If your workout doesn’t go exactly as planned, don’t get too upset. You’re still doing something really great for your health, even if you didn’t accomplish everything you wanted to. When we accept that there are off days where things just don’t go our way, they become easier to get through.

So, next time your workout doesn’t go according to plan remember that it’s impossible to always feel great and accomplish everything you set out to do. Give yourself praise for still finding the strength to try on your off days!
