More people start a new exercise routine on Monday than any other day according to a 2014 FGI Survey. Previous surveys also showed that people consistently and overwhelmingly chose Monday as their preferred day of the week.
People go to the gym more at the beginning of the week. According to gym utilization statistics, visits peak at the beginning of the week and drop towards the end of the week.
Monday impacts the entire week. 76% of respondents to the 2014 FGI study also indicated that if they exercised on Monday, they were more likely to exercise more frequently during the rest of the week.
